Increasing of our quality standard by using the interdisciplinary applications of our new handheld 3D-scanner

By investing in this new handheld 3D-scanner-system we have not only achieved a new level of quality and an even more effective processing of applications of our old system (design and reverse-engineering-technology as well as reconstruction of articles and existing moulds), but also can achieve optimizations in quality assurance and mould manufacturing – using the additional applications of this new scanner (target/actual comparison, tolerance and non-destructive testing).

The relatively small size of the new scanner offers us enormous advantages in applications and makes its use very simple throughout the different manufacturing sectors. And of course also our customers benefit from this. The scanner’s size and functionality furthermore allow fast and effective on-site use at our customer's location, thus saving mould transport cost and time when processing data from existing moulds. 

Its four different scan modes allow digitalisation of all types of objects – regardless of the material of the parts. We achieve an accuracy of 0.02 mm. This also enables us to use it in quality assurance as well as for high-precision and fine detail-scanning.
